Acry-Shield 10-Year Limited Warranty addresses the painting of sound, new or previously painted exterior surfaces (wood siding and trim, hardboard, fiber cement board, metal, concrete, concrete block, stucco and brick). All recommended surface preparation must be achieved. One coat of the appropriate Kelly-Moore Acry-Shield 100% Acrylic Primer followed by the application of two coats of 1240/1245 Acry-Shield 100% Acrylic Exterior Flat or Low Sheen Paint. The Acry-Shield Coating System must be applied at the manufacturer’s recommended spread rate to achieve 4.5 to 6 mils of dry film thickness. If the Acry-Shield Coatings applied peel or blister during the life of the warranty and it is determined to be a product defect, Kelly-Moore’s sole obligation under this Acry-Shield 10-Year Limited Warranty shall be to supply at no cost an adequate quantity of Kelly-Moore product(s) required to restore the affected areas to sound condition or refund the original purchase price with proof of purchase (copy of original invoice). Under the terms of this agreement, the Kelly-Moore Paint Company must be notified in writing of a failure within thirty (30) days of its occurrence and afforded the opportunity to physically inspect any such areas at a time that is convenient for both Kelly-Moore and the Customer. This Acry-Shield 10-Year Limited Warranty does not apply to surfaces not properly prepared, surfaces below grade, surfaces specifically not recommended for coating application or coating failures resulting from cracks or openings, structure defects, faulty construction, physical abuse, natural disasters or other causes beyond Kelly-Moore’s control. No additional warranties, expressed or implied are made concerning the quality, fitness, capacity of purpose or otherwise of the Acry-Shield Exterior Primers or Finishes. The exclusive and sole remedy under this Acry-Shield 10-Year Limited Warranty is expressly limited to the supplying of Kelly-Moore product to restore the affected areas to sound condition or a refund of the original purchase price with proof of purchase as stipulated above. This Acry-Shield 10-Year Limited Warranty excludes labor and/or the cost of labor. No modifications, changes or amendments to this limited warranty are valid unless made in writing and signed by a Corporate Officer of the Kelly-Moore Paint Company, Inc. This Warranty is non-transferable.
